A national seminar on Memory of the World will be bring together national stakeholders to create awareness about the programme, 2015 recommendations, importance of having national committees for Memory of the World. The "Memory of the World" programme has managed to preserve many kinds of documentary heritage; manuscripts, libraries, museums, national archives, audio and video discs, and movies, photographs and more. This seminar will bring national stakeholders together in an effort to achieve the following goals:br /br /1. To raise awareness around the world of the existence of documentary heritage and its relevance to nations and peoples;br /br /2. Facilitate the preservation of documentary heritage through the most appropriate techniques available;br /br /3. Access to documentary heritage for all groups of society;br /br /4. Alerting decision makers and the general public that the preservation and circulation of documents requires more efforts, especially in the digital era, which provides public dimensions on the rights of production and circulation of new documents;br /br /5. Share examples of good practices and innovative projects from the region to implement the recommendation;br /br /6. Increase knowledge about the 2015 recommendations and their impact on Member States.
